Chika Umeh

Chika is a Senior Associate with Crestle Zanders. She qualified as a Barrister and Solicitor in Nigeria in 2003 and practised with a leading commercial law firm in Port Harcourt Nigeria focusing on corporate and commercial oil and gas transactions, asset leasing and finance, and commercial litigation, including in relation to environment, land use and access, and native titles.

Chika is part of Crestle Zanders’ London office team and provides valuable support in counselling on Nigerian Law and in advising Africa-focused international oil and gas, mining and power companies on regulatory, transactional, finance and commercial matters in Africa. She regularly works on joint ventures, strategic alliances and technical services agreements.

Chika obtained LL.B (Hons) from the University of Calabar Nigeria; undertook professional legal training/qualification at the Nigerian Law School Abuja; received LLM from the University of Wolverhampton, England, United Kingdom; and is completing the process for qualification as an England and Wales solicitor.
